The journey of gymnastics can be one of fun after school past time or it can be an all encompassing passion for your child. Either way, you, the parents, are vital. Your athlete will need support, love, guidance, cheering, acceptance and so much more. Creating a safe sport environment includes you and that is why Safe Sport Gym Education came together to create this video. Safe Sport Gym Education is a collection of gymnastics clubs from across the country who worked hard to create documentary style videos to share what safe sport means from real people. Real athletes, coaches, and parents. This is not scripted. This is a collection of moments, feelings and stories to educate all of us.

When a child discloses any kind of abuse, be it physical, sexual or emotional, Chimo has a LEGAL duty to report it to the Ministry. No matter what the situation is, you are obligated to report. Once the report has been made, the ministry will make the decision in the best interest of the child. Understand that your report may be the only thing that protects the child from further abuse.
Chimo and GBC Safesport Policies all include information on obligatory reporting. It is also stated in our codes of conduct, that it must be reported. The following is from the GBC Complaint Management Handbook
